Having not used our canoe for a year !!! we pumped it up for the third time this month :) this time we took the kids we look after to The Dip and while Mag looked after the fort on the beach I set off up the coast again to the shingle bank in the River Deben mouth with two aboard the inflatable, while another was on the Mistral Superlight and another in our sit on :) It only took 30 minutes to make the bank, dodging the yachts in the Deben. We played in the currant and waves in the Deben for ages enjoying the sunshine before heading back for a picnic on the beach. The paddle back took 45 mins !!! in an increasing breeze, my two passengers had a treat and were taken back in a power boat while I had to battle the chop back - great fun was had by all :)
I was getting excited about a weekend trip to Southend speedsailing but by the look of things the wind is not going to play ball :(
